I’m excited. I’m starting a body transformation journey and it’s going to be epic. I’ve been on a health journey ever since I was 10 years old, but now, at 27, I want to build the body of my dreams.
Until now, I’ve had a limited mindset when it comes to what my body could look like. I didn’t think it was possible for me to have an incredible body transformation and look the way I want to. But do you know what I realised? If other people can transform their bodies, why can’t I?
I decided to talk about this body transformation on my website because it will help keep me accountable and I think it will be cool to be able to look back after I have achieved my main goals.
What Are My Body Transformation Goals?
Right now, my main goal is to develop the habits that are going to help me achieve my bigger goals, which are to build curves in the right places and to lose fat where I don’t want it. Basically, my main goal is body recomposition.
But I’m going to be strategic like a bodybuilder and try to build the muscles that I think will help me get closer to my dream body. I want an hourglass figure, or I at least want to get as close to it as I possibly can.
To achieve this, I’m trying to build my shoulders and my butt. My stomach is not an area of concern now, but I am hoping some of the fat on my belly will start fucking off, but that will only become crucial later on.
This body transformation is going to take years, and I might even have a baby or two in the next few years, which will obviously slow down my progress, but I’m trying to think of those stages of my body transformation journey as “bulking” stages during which I will focus primarily on building my shoulders and butt.
Besides, I would love bigger hips, and one of the promises that come with pregnancy is that your hips will probably become wider. How cool would that be?
Building the foundation comes first. After that, we can worry about losing any extra fat, but with a body recomposition approach, some fat loss is still expected.
What is My Body Transformation Strategy?
So, what am I currently trying to do to help me get closer to reaching my goals?
Go Low-Carb and Become Fat Adapted
Right now, I’m trying to turn my body into a fat-burning machine. While I’m not trying to eat for fat loss, but rather body recomposition, which means that I’m eating around maintenance calories, I’m trying to get my body used to burning fat for energy and become fat adapted.
I switched to a low-carb diet a few months ago. It takes time for your body to switch from using carbohydrates as its main source of energy to using fat. I chose low-carb because I have PCOS and am therefore trying to manage insulin resistance.
Build As Much Muscle As Possible
For my body transformation, I’m focusing solely on bodybuilding. My shoulders and butt aren’t going to build themselves. I’m going to need to lift some weights.
Try to Manage My Calorie Intake
I have no problem sticking to a low-carb, animal-based diet. That part is easy. My biggest problem has always been food volume. So right now, I’m just trying to make it a habit to not go over my maintenance calories.
Get Into a Good Skincare Routine
If there’s any part of my daily routine that really needs some attention, it’s my skincare routine. I need to exfoliate and moisturise way more than I currently do.
How Long Will this Body Transformation Take?
This will take years. I’m very realistic about the fact that achieving my goal will take time. And there will be obstacles. I want to take it week by week, day by day, hour by hour – one decision at a time.
